The Ace Mentor Program of America founded in 1994 is a no-cost after-school prgram that prioritizes workforce development for high school students by connecting them with experts from the design and construction industry. The group of mentors and students, work as a team to complete a mock design project through the course of the school year (15 to 20 sessions). ACE Mentor nationally serves more than 12,000 students annually and has distributed more than $37 million in scholarships for students entering architecture, construction and engineering pathways. The majority of the ACE students (70%) identify as people of color, 40% identify as young women and over 40% of ACE seniors entering college are first generation students.
